Ali MacGraw

Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model, author, designer and activist for animal rights. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most well-known films. The desire to become an artist was influenced by her upbringing within a New York family of artists. The first job she had was an assistant to photographers. After that, she switched to modeling and acting. Her first two movies were noticed, and she was awarded the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 feature film Love Story was an international success, earning her the Academy Award nomination and Golden Globe Award. Within three years, MacGraw was ranked as the number one female box-office participant in the entire world. In 1972, the Grauman's Chinese Theater engraved her autograph, hand-prints and foot prints in 1972. She was a part of several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and television miniseries The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures is her autobiography released in 1991. MacGraw has married thrice.
