Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid is of Chinese descent and lived during the war in Vietnam. Her father Winston Barrett Munn is from an American family that has strong roots in the South of America. Olivia's parents separated at the age of two. She grew up with her mother, who served in the United States Air Force, and her stepfather. While the family left Oklahoma and resided in many areas, she was educated at Tokyo, Japan. In the years that followed she was a part of several local theatre productions and later was a model within the Japanese fashion industry. As the family retreated to the United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. After a few minor performances, Olivia achieved success when she got the role as Mily Acua on the Hawaii filming of the TV program Beyond the Break 2006 and as the receptionist of Rob Schneider. She hosts "The Daily Nut" and the "Formula D" Podcasts on G4. Surfing is her passion as she has practiced it since the TV series Beyond the Break (2006). Her black belt is in Taekwondo. At the age of 2000, when she turned two years of age, her mom got married. Although the family relocated many times, she was primarily born at Tokyo, Japan, where the military stationed her stepfather. Attending the University of Oklahoma where she was a journalism major with minors of Japanese and drama art.
